Lifelong learning
As part of a team or individually in the research network - GKZ initiates and coordinates different measures of education and training throughout the world with the help and expertise of its members. Situated at the heart of the Mining and Metallurgy Region of Freiberg / Saxony and in conjunction with German and international cooperation partners GKZ conducts training and further education e.g. in the context of good governance, mining safety or the digitization of the craft sector.

Vocational Training
DIAGNOSTIK
(Digitally supported inter-company training instruction (ÜLU) in the crafts sector to ensure and expand skills).
The project focuses on improving the quality of practical vocational training during inter-company training instruction. To this end, the course content, learning tasks, machine descriptions and safety aspects for five crafts are compiled, digitised and evaluated with the help of AI. This database is used to create customised and practice-oriented teaching/learning settings to strengthen theoretical knowledge during training.
